Troy A. Priest
Mr. Priest is a partner of the firm. He specializes in complex commercial litigation, including employment practices, officer and director liability, civil rights, and medical malpractice. He is an experienced litigator, having successfully handled numerous jury and bench trials in both the State of Maryland and District of Columbia. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Priest served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for a small health care consulting company. Mr. Priest is also currently the Chair of Chesapeake Research Review, Inc.'s independent Institutional Review Board.
From 1994 through 1999, Mr. Priest was an associate with the firms of Mason, Ketterman & Morgan and Houston & Howard where he specialized in insurance defense litigation, medical malpractice defense litigation, and representing physicians in disciplinary actions. Prior to his law firm experience, Mr. Priest also clerked for the Honorable Annice M. Wagner, who is currently Chief Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
Mr. Priest has represented, and continues to represent, several major national insurance companies as well as various academic institutions, hospitals, health care providers, businesses and non-profit organizations throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia.
